FAQ

GETTING STARTED

It is highly recommended to install any Stretch PVC Material as the last stage of the renovation process in order to minimize the risk of accidental damage. Although additional property maintenance can be complete post-installation, TSCL cannot guarantee flawless visual appearance if the material is exposed to excessive amounts of construction dust.

INSTALLATION

All orders are ready for installation within 2 weeks from the Agreement date.

Depending on the size of the material, the installation of a single stretch ceiling will take anywhere between a few hours to one full work day.

If multiple ceilings are installed at the same location, the installation may be split into two or three days to allocate sufficient time for each installation stage.

The installation of ceilings with integrated systems (i.e., Fiber Optics, Backlit…etc.) takes 3 to 5 days depending on project complexity.

The expected drop of ceiling height is between 1 and 2 inches depending on the leveling of the original ceiling and floor.

If you choose to add any ceiling fixtures (i.e., potlights, chandeliers, smoke detectors…etc.) the ceiling height will be adjusted to account for the electrical boxes (~1.5”).

For ceilings with integrated systems the drop will differ depending on which system is being installed; however, all options are explored prior to installation in order to minimize the loss of ceiling height.

A licensed electrician must set up all necessary wiring and electrical boxes prior to the installation of the stretch ceiling. You can hire your own licensed electrician or TSCL can provide one for you. Cost of the electrical work is not included in the project price.

Most Stretch PVC Materials are installed with the rigid, multi-use Aluminum Wall Profiles.
Aluminum Ceiling Profiles are used to join multiple PVC materials OR if the walls on your property cannot withstand the tension exerted by the material.
Plastic Profiles are used for structural ceilings and properties with extremely uneven walls.

POST-INSTALLATION

YES. PVC material can be washed using mild soap and a microfiber cloth. Please do not use harsh chemicals, as that can damage the coating and significantly impact the visual appearance of the Stretch PVC Material.

YES. However, the stretch ceiling will need to be removed and re-installed in order to run additional electrical wiring and install extensions that will guarantee proper alignment of the fixtures with the new ceiling level.

YES. Most stretch ceilings can be fully or partially removed for behind-the-ceiling maintenance; however, it is strongly advised to re-install the material as soon as possible to minimize the risk of creasing.

NOTE: Ceilings with Integrated Fiber Optic Systems cannot be fully removed as that can significantly damage both the PVC material and the FO system.

YES. Upon project completion the Ordering Customers receive:
• 10 years manufacture warranty on all PVC Stretch Ceiling Materials.
• 1 year installation warranty on all work performed by TSCL.
• 3-12 months manufacture warranty on integrated systems (depends on manufacturer)
